  1. Nottingham Forest are one of the oldest football clubs in the world founded in 1865. The club participated in the FA Cup for the first time in the 1879-1880 season, almost ten years before the English Football League was inaugurated. Nottingham Forest were a multi-sports club as baseball sections being a large part of the club’s identity. In 1892, they won the Football Alliance league once before being admitted to the Football League. Their first major honor came in 1898, with a win over  Derby County in the FA Cup final.

2.Nottingham Forest play at The city Ground, however this wasn’t there first ground. After fourteen years at their original ground at the Recreation Ground, Forest moved on to the Meadows Cricket Ground in 1879, It wasn’t for long however. When Forest lost their tenancy here they were forced to move to the suburb of Lenton, having varying spells at the Parkside Ground and the Gregory Ground. In 1890 their search for a more central home ended with a move to Woodward’s Field, soon to be named the Town Ground. This venue had the honor of being the first at which crossbars and goal-nets were used. Finally, in 1898 they made their last move to The City Ground which they still remain at till this day.

3. Nottingham Forest have won One First Division (now Premier League) in 1977-78.
    They have won the Second Division 3 times (now Championship) in 1906-07, 1921-22 & 1997-98.
 They won the Third Division once (now League One) in 1950-51. 
They won the FA Cup twice in 1898 & 1959. They won the in Football League Cup 4 times in 1978, 1979, 1989, 1997. 2 European cups in 1979. One UEFA Super cup in 1979.

4. Nottingham Forest broke their transfer record in 2018 by signing, Joao Carvalho is signed from Benfica for £13.2M

5. Nottingham’s all time goal scorer is Grenville Morris with (217). There most capped player is Bob McKinley with 692 goals

6. The name Nottingham Forest was created in 1865 at a special meeting at the Clinton Arms Hotel, Sherwood Street. Since their first appearances were made at the Forest Recreation Ground their chosen name was synonymous with the location.

7. The owner of Nottingham Forest is currently Evangelos Marinakis who acquired the club for £50M back in May 2017

8. Nottingham Forest to date have the seventh most valuable squad in the Championship, with their players’ total worth coming in at £51.08m.

9. Notts County is the closest professional football club geographically, Forest have remained at least one division higher since the 1994–95 season and the club’s fiercest rivalry is with Derby County, located 14 miles away. This is also referred to as the east midlands derby. Leicester city are also a rival as they are located in the east midlands.

10. Nottingham Forest longing serving manager is Brian Clough who managed the club from 1975 to 1993. He has an OBE and is considered a club legend.
